The Undying referred to the trio of undead giants who were the true rulers of the necropolis of Sokkar as of 1367 DR. Their names were Noq the Inspired, Arun the Ever-Vigilant, and Merodach the Deprived.

The rom left Sokkar to itself unless a pressing matter arose. When the city was still inhabited the Undying entertained the human rulers who made yearly pilgrimages seeking the wisdom of the undead.
