Scions of Flame

The Scions of Flame are a tribe of black-scaled lizardfolk within the Ashen Gorge.

History

When the ancient red dragon Thordak came to Tal'Dorei from the Island of Viscan, he made his lair in the Ashen Gorge and subjugated the lizardfolk living there, who came to worship him as though he were a god. Around the year 794 PD, a group of adventurers including Allura Vysoren led an army of mercenaries to the Gorge in an attempt to defeat Thordak, and found many lizardfolk had formed around him. There the adventurers did battle with Thordak, and were repelled from the Gorge and unable to kill Thordak. Thordak was later sealed in the Elemental Plane of Fire by this same group of adventurers.

As of 812 and 836 PD, the Scions of Flame are a tribe/cult who claim to have been Thordak's elite guard in ancient times, and they control the Ashen Gorge.
