Functions
The Wildemount Wildlings is a camp for talented young adventurers, mages, fighters, and rogues. The goal is to train these talented youngsters into fighters or defenders for their own villages, wherever they might come from. They are taught many useful skills and can freely practice and refine their own abilities. There are often guest instructors that give the youngsters special lessons and workshops. The program is described as very rigorous, including an obstacle course. However campers also have access to fun beach activities, such as surfing.
The curriculum includes basic shooting, hunting, and tracking skills, how to pick a lock and how to disarm a bomb.
The Gross
Mess hall on stilts manned by Phyllis the Centaur lunch lady.
Salmon Lake
A polluted lake with salmon-colored water and at least one massive creature living in it.
Do Not Hike Trail
A mysterious trail which campers are normally not allowed to hike.
The Hubbub Hub
The camp's central meeting point.
The Magic Meadow
A proving ground for magic users which includes the Enchant Shed holding magic items.
The Training Grounds
A large amphitheater-like space in the woods for physical training with archery targets, an obstacle course, used test dummies, and a rickety bridge structure.
Curfew Creature Tower
A tower with a view of the entire camp, it is the home of Mishi, the Curfew Creature.
Cabins
In 837 there were four named cabins for campers to stay in:
- Happy Fun Cabin: A reference to the " Happy Fun Ball of Tricks " or just "Happy Fun Ball", which is a name given to the Heirloom Sphere by Twiggy and the Mighty Nein.
- Shakäste Cabin: Named after Shakäste, an ally of the Mighty Nein.
- A5 Cabin: Named after an Aeorian crash site that was visited by the Mighty Nein.
- Balleater Cabin: The Balleater, formerly the Squalleater, was a ship owned by the Mighty Nein. Notably, Yeza recommended against this name for the cabin.
As of seven or eight years later, several more cabins had been added:
- OLGA Cabin: Stands for "Oops, Let's Go Again". For campers who didn't earn any badges.
- The Nest: In the boughs of a tree.
- Lions' Lodge: For paladins, fighters, and other warriors.
- Roosters' Roost: For bards.
- Pig Pen: For rangers and their animal companions.
- Compass Keep
- Unicorn Haven
- The Foxhole
People
The Wildemount Wildlings camp is operated by Veth Brenatto with constant help from Yeza and the Mighty Nein. Aside from the full-time staff, many members and allies of the Mighty Nein donate their time as guest instructors, teaching lessons and giving lectures. During its premiere session, the camp received 13 or 14 incoming campers, their average ages being around 13-15 (with some exceptions).
Staff
- Veth Brenatto (Founder/Camp Director)
- Yeza Brenatto (Counselor/Alchemy Instructor)
- Luc Brenatto (Counselor/Stealth Instructor/Beginner Spellcraft and Alchemy Instructor)
- Beth Greenbloom (Counselor/Resident Cleric) Young, blond half-elf.
- Phyllis (Centaur lunch lady)
- Mishi, the Curfew Creature: A polar bear-sized blue and purple furry creature with glowing eyes, floppy ears, a feathery tail, and a soft, calm voice. She watches everything, and cares more about the curfew itself than about safety. She doesn't like to share other people's secrets, but she's also vain and greedy (especially because she isn't paid), and can be persuaded through bribes and/or flattery.
Guest Instructors
- Caleb Widogast (Wizarding Workshops)
- Yasha Nydoorin (Strength and Combat Training)
- Jester Lavorre (Arts and Crafts)
- Dagen Underthorn (Survival Skills)

History
Veth first mentioned that she was thinking about opening the camp at the conclusion of the Second Campaign, describing it as "a little summer camp to teach young adventurers how to stealth, and sneak, and fire crossbows, and maybe learn a little magic." She invited Caleb to come teach at it, and he accepted.
The first session started off to some unfortunate timing, with Veth being whisked away to help in sealing Uk'otoa. Yeza had to step in for her at the last minute, being the one to welcome the first batch of incoming campers. Veth messaged him via Jester's Sending to move the campers to higher ground during the Mighty Nein's battle against the leviathan when he escaped.
However, despite Veth's initial absence, the first camp ended up being a smashing success. It started off a little slow without her, but once she rejoined the camp, everything went great. An incident did occur during the first session: Yasha was teaching a class that resulted in a camper's death. Luckily, the guest arts and crafts teacher, Jester Lavorre, was there to heal and restore the child, who thought that it was amazing and wanted to do it again, and was due to come back next summer.
This incident ended up being a bit of a publicity boost, advertising that the camp has real danger, which resulted in twice as many signups for the next year. However the camp now asks for donations to include diamonds for spell components in case of another incident.
The camp remained active over the next few years, welcoming more campers. Luc eventually began teaching classes himself (in stealth, beginner spellcraft, and beginner alchemy) and became one of the senior counselors. However, during the apogee solstice of 843 PD some sea creatures attacked Nicodranas, and despite Luc's desire to lead other young adventurers to face the danger, Veth and Yeza refused, hosting the campers in their own home to keep them safe while they waited for their parents to come pick them up.
By the next summer the camp had resumed its usual activities, and received even more campers. By the end of Sydenstar Beau and Yasha attended as counselors to see how they felt around kids and how it would affect their potential as parents in the future. They were left in charge of four campers that hadn't earned a single badge during the whole summer, but those same teenagers, by working together, ended up saving their lives after one of Yeza's experiments accidentally summoned several monsters in the camp.
