Schuster family

The Schuster family owns a butcher shop in Hupperdook. The four Schuster children stole the Mighty Nein's coin purses to survive while their parents were held in the Gearhole Prison. After freeing them, the Mighty Nein left Kiri in their care.

Members

The Schusters are gnomish citizens of Hupperdook. They worship Avandra.

• Gilda: Wallace's wife and mother of the Schuster children. She has long, curled brownish-red hair.
• Wallace: Gilda's husband and father of the Schuster children.
• Austin: Teenage son of Gilda and Wallace. He has short red hair.
• Gail: Teenage daughter of Gilda and Wallace.
• Jude: Young son of Gilda and Wallace. He has longer curly hair.
• Layla: Young daughter of Gilda and Wallace. She was the one who stole the Mighty Nein's money.
• Kiri: A young orphaned kenku girl left in the Schuster's care.

" The Hour of Honor " (2x24)

Layla entered the Blushing Tankard before the Hour of Honor. Jester noticed her and gave her a silver piece. After the contest, she stole the coin pouches of every contestant from the Mighty Nein (Beau, Caleb, Fjord, Molly, and Nott) without getting caught.

The following morning, the Mighty Nein found all four Schuster kids huddled together inside a boarded up butcher's shop. The children explained that the shop was their home and that their parents were arrested months ago for worshiping Avandra, the Change Bringer. They had been surviving by pickpocketing ever since. They feared they would be taken to an orphanage in Rexxentrum if they're found by tithe collectors.

" Divergent Paths " (2x25)

Thanks to the Mighty Nein, Gilda and Wallace were let out of jail and reunited with their children. The Nein asked them to take care of Kiri, which pleased the Schuster children. Beauregard gave them 50 gold to help support her.

" Lingering Wounds " (2x89)

Jester scried on Kiri and saw that the butcher shop had been spruced up and looked more like a home again.
