Gajakhandas

The Gajakhandas are a crawler gang and the primary de facto city guard in the mostly lawless city of Bassuras.

Description

The Gajakhandas greet new arrivals to the city and clear them for admission. They also act as peacekeepers within the city, which otherwise has very little rule of law. Members are marked by tattoos in various shapes and colors.

The laws of Bassuras are for the most part unspoken, but the primary directive is against Crawler gang infighting, which is punishable by the Gajakhandas or the union of Crawler gangs within the city limits. Almost everything else is a free for all. The Gajakhandas also keep watch over the city's vital water cisterns and steward the Deathwish Run.

Imahara Joe expressed his belief that if there was money to be made in stepping out of the way, the Gajakhandas would be happy to do so.
