Arrela Shiego

Appearance

She is tall, with dark eyes and a rather dark complexion, with short cut dark hair in the style of Aiel. She is about 5'9 tall and very masculine when she dresses.

She was lesbian and made it clear she had no interest at all in men.

Faile thinks that Arrela and Camaille had the quickest minds among Cha Faile, though that Selande and Parelean were smarter.

Activities

She follows Faile Bashere to Ghealdan. She, Lacile and Parelean tell Faile about Masema Dagar meeting with the Seanchan before she is captured by the Shaido and made gai'shain. Unlike other Cha Faile members, she is not so concerned with her own honor; but she is very protective of Faile's.

With the aid of Bain and Chiad, she manages to escape the Shaido camp along with Lacile. She is soon recaptured by the Shaido again and is severely punished for it.

She now beds Marthea, a Maiden of the Spear in the hope of finding escape. Aldin wants to marry her, but she turns him down. Faile and her group head to the town of Malden to meet with Galina Casban in the hope she will help them escape. The group is betrayed by Galina and left for dead in a burnt out old house. They are rescued from the building by Rolan and a number of those who have sworn oaths of fealty to Faile. They are all finally rescued from the Shaido when Perrin Aybara meets up with the group, after he began his joint attack with the Seanchan against the Shaido.

After the Battle of Malden she meets with Alliandre Maritha Kigarin, Faile, and Lacile Aldorwin. The four woman hold a funeral ceremony for the Aiel men and Marthea, who protected them while they were in the Shaido camp and were then ultimately murdered.

Arrela was with Faile's group to retrieve the Horn of Valere and stayed with her during the Last Battle.
