Appearance

She is willowy, with brown hair and large brown eyes. She wears her Great Serpent ring on her right hand.

Strength and Abilities

Desandre is strong in the One Power, with a strength level of 15(3). She is the strongest among the fifty-one Aes Sedai captured at the Black Tower, with only Lemai being as strong.

History

Assuming she enrolled between the age of 14 and 18, the earliest she could have been born was 947 NE and latest was 958 NE.

She spent six years as novice and seven as Accepted.

The earliest she could have become a novice was 965 NE, while the latest would be 972 NE.

The earliest she could have become Accepted was 971 NE, while the latest would be 978 NE.

She was an Accepted in the White Tower in 978-979 NE during the Aiel War when the Dragon was reborn, she was sent out of the White Tower to collect the names of newborn children for the bounty.

Activities

She sides with Elaida's White Tower after the coup.

She is one of fifty-one sisters that took part in the attack on the Black Tower.

Elaida abandons the Aes Sedai sent to capture the Black Tower, including Desandre, at Alviarin's suggestion.

They were all captured and bonded involuntarily by the Asha'man. To whom Desandre was bonded is unknown.

Gabrelle convinces Toveine that they must publicly submit themselves to Lemai and Desandre, the two sisters who stand the highest among the captured Aes Sedai; Gabrelle says this is necessary to ensure that the captured Aes Sedai remain united.

She and Lemai become the leaders of the captive Aes Sedai, although Lemai is "second" to her due to spending longer as Accepted. They issue orders that all Aes Sedai must achieve cordial relations with their Asha'man captors. According to Toveine Gazal, this is simply a ploy to lull the men into becoming amenable to them.

Toveine dislikes taking any orders from them.

As most Aes Sedai in this group it can be guessed that also Desandre was Turned to the Shadow along her Asha'man.
