Since returning to the White Tower, Mazone was one of a number of Younglings who decided that being a Warder was not the life for them. Gawyn Trakand told them to report to Jimar Chubain to become a member of the Tower Guard.
When Gawyn returned to the White Tower, Mazone followed him to Egwene al'Vere's quarters. There they found some Bloodknife assassins, and Mazone was killed in the scuffle.
