Mayam has a strength in the One Power of 21(9), average for an Aes Sedai. She would not be strong enough to Travel unless she has an above average skill in the Talent.
History
Mayam was born in Tear in 960 NE and went to the White Tower in 977 NE. After spending twelve years as a novice and eight years as Accepted, she was raised to the shawl in 997 NE.
Activities
She remains loyal to the White Tower during the split.
She was part of the White Tower secret expedition who were to kidnap Rand al'Thor in Cairhien. She arrived at Lady Arilyn Dhulaine's manor two days after the official embassy arrived.
Because she has not yet the typical ageless look of an Aes Sedai, Mayam was among the sisters who helped to carry the chest during the actual kidnapping.
She was taken prisoner during the Battle of Dumai's Wells by the Asha'man.
Mayam was one of the captured Aes Sedai to be interrogated by Verin Mathwin in order to discover the White Tower's intentions towards Rand al'Thor. In reality Verin used her mild Compulsion to implant in their minds some instructions about Rand.
Later it is reported by Sorilea that all the Aes Sedai prisoners have sworn fealty to Rand.
As with many Aes Sedai sworn to Rand, Mayam probably fought the Last Battle on the slopes of Thakan'dar. She is not mentioned during the last book.
