Notably, Parenia kept Sereille Bagand of the White Ajah as her Mistress of Novices, though the name of her Keeper of the Chronicles and her subsequent Ajah are unknown. Sereille served excellently in the same office also during the reigns of the two Amyrlin that preceded Parenia (a Green and a Brown respectively) becoming legendary in this role.
Parenia was the last Amyrlin elected from the Red-Yellow-Gray axis for 160 years. From this time on the Blue-White-Green axis was very politically strong - Amyrlins were elected almost exclusively from these Ajahs in alternation (except for one Brown) until Sierin Vayu and then another two Blues. The Reds could barely get even one of their allied Ajahs elected, whereas previously, more Amyrlins were raised from the Yellow or the Gray. There was no Yellow Amyrlin in nearly 300 years and no Red since Bonwhin Meraighdin until Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan.
Parenia was an Amyrlin of average strength and influence. She was more interested in negotiations and treaties between nations than in the ruling of the White Tower. She still kept fairly good control in order to gain backing for her diplomatic goals.
