Elaiva is of high average strength in the One Power, with a strength level of 19(7). She matches the stated minimum strength needed to be able to make a gateway of useful size. Barring some below average ability with the Talent, she should be able to Travel.
History
Elaiva was born in Andor in 806 NE. She went to the White Tower in 822 NE at the age of sixteen.
She spent ten years as a novice and eight years as an Accepted, being raised to the shawl in 840 NE. She would have been novice together with Merise Haindehl.
Activities
She has remained loyal to the White Tower during the split.
She was part of the White Tower's secret expedition who were to kidnap Rand al'Thor in Cairhien.
She was taken prisoner during the Battle of Dumai's Wells by the Asha'man.
Elaiva was one of the captured Aes Sedai to be interrogated by Verin Mathwin in order to discover the White Tower's intentions towards Rand al'Thor. In reality Verin used her mild Compulsion to implant in their minds some instructions about Rand.
Later it is reported by Sorilea that all the Aes Sedai prisoners have sworn fealty to Rand.
As with many Aes Sedai sworn to Rand, Elaiva probably fought the Last Battle on the slopes of Thakan'dar. It is not stated whether she survived or not.
Trivia
Elaiva Walfor is described only in The Wheel of Time Companion, she is never mentioned in the main books of The Wheel of Time.
Her Ajah contradicts a statement by Galina stating that those sent to take control of Rand al'Thor consisted of only Reds, Greens and Whites, barring Coiren Saeldain and Nesune Bihara. While Galina is Black Ajah and thus able to lie, she has no reason to about this.
