Sorontil is a mountain of Númenor (actually the only known mountain besides the Meneltarma) standing near the island's North Cape of Forostar, with its eastern flanks forming sheer sea-cliffs.
Tar-Meneldur built a tall tower in the vicinity of this mountain.
