Merethrond

Great Hall of Feasts
Tower Middle-Earth

Merethrond, also known as the Great Hall of Feasts, was a large, vaulted chamber with an arched roof found in Minas Tirith used by the nobility of Gondor for feasting. It was north of the White Tower of Minas Tirith in the High Court.

Aragorn met with Éomer at this place once the War of the Ring ended.

Etymology

Merethrond is Sindarin for 'Hall of Feasts'.

In adaptations

In The Lord of the Rings Online, Merethrond is present in all three main versions of Minas Tirith but is the most prominent during Midsummer when it hosts the Banquet after the royal wedding of Aragorn and Arwen.
