The Nan Ungol, was a valley in the southwest corner of Mordor, against the vertex of the Ered Lithui and the Ephel Duath where many of Ungoliant's brood (Giant Spiders) lived.[citation needed]
It is only shown on a map of Mordor created for the cinematic lore of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy by New Line Cinema cartographer, Daniel Reeve.
