Erech was a plain in the Outlands of Gondor which lay against to the White Mountains, close to Imlad Morthond.
Located within north Lamedon, this plain is known only for the Stone of Erech, which lay upon the Hill of Erech. It was located to the north of the Dimholt (where the Paths of the Dead lay), and below Dwimorberg.
Etymology
Erech is a name in an unknown Pre-Númenórean language, predating the founding of Gondor, but its translation is not given.
