Village Description
The village of Serpent's Head was built atop a squat mountain, which was the village's namesake. Most people who lived there were dwarves and humans who worked as miners and farmers. They had no militia to speak of.
History
Some time during the Chroma Crisis, the ancient red dragon Thordak briefly left his roost in Emon for reasons unknown and traveled northeast to Serpent's Head. Most of the villagers had already evacuated to Kraghammer after hearing about Emon's fate. When Thordak arrived in the village, the dragon burned it to the ground, killing any remaining citizens. In the process, the dragon's elemental power transformed Serpent's Head Mountain into a small volcano, opening a portal to the Elemental Plane of Fire.
The burned remains of the village are inhabited by mindless cinderslag elementals, as well as two conflicting factions of azers and salamanders who each made residence in the lower caverns of the newly created volcano.
