Description

The wilderness is a dense and wild forest occasionally broken by rolling hills with a few taller summits, tall grass fields, and rocky terrain surrounded by mountain ranges. There are at least three rivers that flow through the forest: one runs from west to east or viceversa, another from north to south (possibly joining the course of the previous one), and a third that plunges down the Irriam Canyon and forms a waterfall.

Flora

The region seems to be fertile, allowing the growth of all kinds of plants, including a variety of different colored flowers.

Fauna

Common animals such as rabbits or fish can be found in the Serratus Wilderness. The elemental spirits of the Demithore Valley are also present, taking the form of tiny sprite-like beings.

Meteor crater

This section of the forest was struck at some point by an object that fell from the sky, leaving a depression in the ground where many flowers grew, completely covering the debris below.

Background

Centuries ago a strange object holding a githzerai plunged from the atmosphere and impacted the Serratus Wilderness; the corpse of the githzerai ended up petrified and covered by vegetation over the years.

Campaign Three: Bells Hells

During the apogee solstice of 843 PD, Bells Hells helped Elder Joan Abaddina of Hearthdell free her village from the influence of followers of the Dawnfather. She gave them advice about how to return to their respective homes, sending them to her former master, Hevestro. Guided by a wind cougar, the adventurers traversed the Serratus Wilderness without too much trouble and reached the Irriam Canyon.
