Dalelands

Harrowdale , formerly Velarsdale and Halvan's Dale , was the oldest of the surviving dales within the Dalelands . It mainly consisted of human inhabitants, as well as some elven and half-elven people. Its capital and largest town was also shared the same name, before it was changed to New Velar in 1428 DR .

Tower Tranquil stood atop the gateway to the cavern of the dracolich Rauglothgor . A gate once linked the tower to a cavern in Myth Drannor .

Battledale was one of the dales in the Dalelands. Despite its name earned long ago, it was one of the more peaceful vales in the 14th & 15th centuries DR.

The Dancing Place was a hidden valley of the High Dale, considered a holy place by many elven and human religions. It was of major importance in the history of the Harpers.

Tasseldale, one of lands' trading dales, was among the wealthiest within the Dalelands, having always been heavily influenced by the nation of Sembia.

Mistledale, considered one of the rustic dales of the Dalelands, was a quiet and friendly land covering a vast expanse of grassland within the forest of Cormanthor.

Shadow Gap was the high pass in the Desertsmouth Mountains separating the Dalelands and Cormyr 's south.

Scardale , labeled as one of the trading dales , was one of the valleyed regions that made up the Dalelands in north Faerûn . Historically it was the largest and often the most powerful of the Dales until the upheaval of the latter half of the 14 th century DR . It persevered through wars, enemy occupation, and even a major plague , and while other dales fell, such as Teshendale , it survived. In the 15 th century DR, it finally succumbed to the influence of Sembia and thus, fell under Netherese rule.

Shadowdale was a farming community in the Dalelands , in north Faerûn . It was the home of the archmage Elminster Aumar and was the home of two of the Seven Sisters , Storm Silverhand and Syluné . Through its history, Shadowdale battled both Zhentarim and drow invasions. Due to the number of ruins in Shadowdale, it was a popular place for adventuring companies to settle.
