Lake Mithrim was a body of water in the land of Mithrim with its long axis stretching from east to west. When the Noldor first returned to Middle-earth the Sons of Fëanor encamped upon the northern shore until Fingolfin's host arrived; then the Sons of Fëanor removed to the southern shore to avoid conflict.
